Description
The Xovis PC3SE-O is an outdoor 3D people counting sensor for high mounting points over large open areas such as station forecourts and platforms, open-air shopping streets, stadium gates and event sites. It is the weather-protected version of the PC3SE: a grey housing that guards against water and dust, operation from -33 to +40 °C, and six models for mounting heights from 6 to 20 m (19.7 to 65.6 ft). It counts people and groups with 3D stereo vision and on-device AI and sends only anonymous counts, never images. It ships pre-assembled with casing and cable.

Sensor and software: what you get
On the sensor: people and group counting across the covered area, privacy modes, on-device storage, API and data push. In software: dashboards, multi-site comparisons, occupancy and reporting. Use the PC3SE-O with VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans), or connect it to your own platform through the API and MQTT.
Installation and accessories
Choose the model by mounting height, mount it over the area to count and seal the RJ45 connection with the supplied caps. For angled installs Xovis lists the PA-PC-PM medium pivot mount for the outdoor PC3 series. For large areas connect several sensors to a Xovis SPIDER SPI-PU2 (available on request — contact us). Need PoE? See the Gigabit PoE injector. After mounting, Vemco can configure and validate the sensor with the remote setup and validation service, and you can extend the warranty with a 1-year or 2-year extension (PC3 variant).

Which PC3SE-O model fits my mounting height?
PC3SE-O 6–14 m, PC3SE-L-O 6–9 m, PC3SE-M1-O 9–12 m, PC3SE-M2-O 11–14 m, PC3SE-H-O 14–16 m and PC3SE-UH-O 16–20 m. Where ranges overlap, the specialised model gives the larger coverage.
What is the IP rating of the PC3SE-O?
The Xovis datasheet describes ingress protection against water and dust for outdoor use and does not state an IP code. Ask us if your tender needs a specific rating.
What is the difference between the PC3SE-O and the PC2SE-O?
The PC2SE-O is for outdoor mounting points of 1.95–6 m. The PC3SE-O is for 6–20 m and covers up to 12 × 9 m per sensor.
Does the PC3SE-O support gender statistics or staff exclusion?
No. On PC3-Series sensors Xovis lists group counting, which is included in firmware 5.
