The Milesight WS301 is a LoRaWAN magnetic contact switch (door and window sensor) for offices, stores, warehouses, server rooms and cabinets. It reports every opening and closing over LoRaWAN, raises a tamper alarm if the housing is opened, and runs for years on one replaceable battery. Use it for access monitoring, energy saving and facility alerts.

Sensor and software: what you get
On the sensor: open/close and tamper events over LoRaWAN. In software: live status, alerts and automated reports. Use the WS301 with VemSpace, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans). The hardware price does not include a software licence.
Installation and accessories
Fix the sensor on the frame and the magnet on the moving part of the door or window, aligned and within the detection distance. The WS301 needs a LoRaWAN gateway on the same frequency plan, such as the UG65 or UG67. For wet areas or outdoor doors choose the IP67 EM300-MCS.

How far apart can the WS301 sensor and magnet be?
Milesight's datasheet states a 20 mm detection distance (the product page gives 10–15 mm). Mount them as close as possible.
How long does the WS301 battery last?
Milesight states more than 5 years; its lab figure is about 6.8 years at SF7 with 30 triggers per day. The battery is replaceable.
Can the WS301 be used outdoors?
No, it is rated IP20 for indoor use. Use the IP67 EM300-MCS for harsh environments.
Which LoRaWAN frequency do I need?
868M for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Russia; 915M for the Americas, Australia, Korea and most of Asia-Pacific.
