The Milesight UG65 is an indoor 8-channel LoRaWAN gateway for offices, stores, shopping centres and smart buildings. It connects LoRaWAN sensors such as people counters, occupancy, air quality and leak sensors to your platform, with a built-in network server, Ethernet with PoE, Wi-Fi and optional 4G backhaul. Its IP65 housing also suits semi-industrial rooms.

Which UG65 do I need?
Milesight ordering codes follow the pattern UG65-[4G module]-[LoRaWAN band], for example UG65-L04EU-868M. Shop SKUs show the band and "-4G" for the cellular version; the matching 4G module is selected for your region.

Gateway and software
On the gateway: packet forwarding, local network server, MQTT/HTTP/BACnet integration and VPN. In software: sensor and gateway health, alerts and analytics. Vemco connects the UG65 to VemSpace and VemCount, both with a 60-day free trial (see software plans).
Installation and compatible sensors
Place the gateway centrally and as high as practical, away from metal cabinets; power it by PoE from your switch. It works with the LoRaWAN sensors in this shop on the same frequency plan: VS135, VS121, VS350, VS330, VS341, AM307, AM319, EM300, WS301 and EM400-TLD. For outdoor or campus coverage choose the UG67.
Frequently asked questions
Which UG65 frequency do I need?
868M for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Russia; 915M for the Americas, Australia, Korea and most of Asia-Pacific. The gateway and all sensors must use the same frequency plan.
Does the UG65 have a built-in network server?
Yes. It can run as a standalone LoRaWAN network server or forward packets to an external server such as The Things Stack or ChirpStack.
How many sensors can one UG65 handle?

Can the UG65 be powered by PoE?
