Description
The Xovis PF-L is an indoor 3D people counting sensor for large areas in flagship stores, shopping malls, airports and public buildings. It is the first model of the Xovis PF-Series: from a mounting height of 2.00 to 6.00 m (6.6 to 19.7 ft) it covers up to 10.00 × 10.00 m per sensor, which Xovis states is up to 8 times the coverage of its PC-Series, with more processing power on the sensor. It counts people with 3D stereo vision and on-device AI, sends only text data, never images, and adds Attention Metrics, an engagement measure that only the PF-Series offers. Vemco is a Xovis Gold partner.

- Large coverage: up to 10.00 × 10.00 m per sensor from 3.5 m mounting height, so fewer sensors cover a store floor, atrium or hall.
- Fast setup: mounting height detection, auto calibration and a first-setup wizard.
- Attention Metrics (with the view direction extension), only available on PF-Series sensors.
- AI extensions: group counting is built in; gender statistics, apparent age estimation, view direction, face mask detection and object detection can be activated by licence. Staff exclusion is not yet available on the PF-L.
- Privacy by design: 4 privacy modes, all processing on the device, only text data transmitted. Xovis states the sensor carries an ePrivacy seal for GDPR-compliant operation.
- Open integration: API with Swagger documentation and data push over HTTP(S), MQTT(S), FTP(S), SFTP, TCP and UDP; up to 3 years of on-device storage.
- Power over Ethernet or USB-C: PoE Class 0 (IEEE 802.3af), max 12.95 W, or 5 V USB-C as an alternative power input.

For areas larger than one sensor covers, combine several sensors with at least 30 cm overlap, or connect them to a Xovis SPIDER SPI-PU2.

Sensor and software: what you get
On the sensor: people detection and counting across a large area, privacy modes, on-device storage, API and data push, plus licensed AI extensions. In software: dashboards, multi-site comparisons, conversion with POS data and reporting. Use the PF-L with VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans), or connect it to your own platform through the API and MQTT.
Installation and accessories
Mount the PF-L between 2 and 6 m with a clear bird's-eye view of the area. Because one PF-L covers far more floor than a PC-Series sensor, plan the layout from the floor plan first, so shelving, signs and columns do not hide the area. The sensor ships with a flat mounting plate; for angled installs Xovis lists the PA-PC-PS small pivot mount and the PA-PC-PM medium pivot mount. Use a PoE+ source such as the TP-Link TL-SG1005P PoE+ switch and Cat-6 shielded cable. Vemco designs the layout with you and validates the data with the remote calibration and validation service.
Already own Xovis sensors?
Existing Xovis PC2 and PC3 sensors connect to VemCount without hardware changes and can run next to PF-L sensors on the same site. Choose the PF-L when a site needs larger coverage per sensor or Attention Metrics. Ask a technical specialist.

Not yet. Xovis lists staff exclusion as not yet available on the PF-L. If you need it today, choose a PC2-Series sensor such as the PC2SE.
