Description
The PeopleSense RC4 is an ultra-rugged outdoor people and vehicle counter for trail heads, parks, car park entrances and other sites without power or network. Made by PiP IoT, it counts movements with a proximity sensor, measures ambient temperature and sends the data over the Sigfox network on radio configuration RC4 (Asia-Pacific and Latin America). It is rated IP68 and runs on battery for about three years.

RC4 is not adapted for Denmark or the United States. The device needs Sigfox network coverage at the installation site.

Sensor and software: what you get
On the device: binned people or vehicle counts and temperature. In software: software and data are not included in the hardware price; counts are reported on the Vemco platform in VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans).
Installation and accessories
Check Sigfox coverage at each location before installation. For entrances with power and network, a 3D counter such as the Xovis PC2SE-O outdoor or Milesight VS125 Outdoor gives direction-based in/out counts. Ask about a park or trail counting project.
