The Elsys ERS is a LoRaWAN room sensor for offices, meeting rooms, classrooms and public buildings. It measures motion (PIR), temperature, humidity and light, so you can see whether rooms are actually used and how the indoor climate develops. It runs on batteries for up to 10 years, depending on settings, and needs no cabling.

This shop lists one ERS variant (SKU ERS). Contact us to confirm the frequency plan for your country before ordering, and use a gateway on the same plan.

Mounting

Wall mounting at about 1.6 m, indoors, with screws or adhesive tape. Place it where the PIR sensor sees the room.

Sensor and software: what you get

On the sensor: measurements, thresholds and the traffic light. In software: room utilisation and indoor climate dashboards in VemSpace, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans). Any LoRaWAN network server can also decode the data.

Installation and accessories

Connect the sensor through a LoRaWAN gateway such as the Milesight UG65 (indoor) or UG67 (outdoor). Add the Elsys ERS CO2 for air quality and the Elsys EMS Desk for desks. Already own Elsys sensors? They join the same LoRaWAN network and report to VemSpace without replacement.

It uses a PIR motion sensor, which detects movement. For desk-level presence use the EMS Desk.

Are batteries included?
No. It needs 2 × AA 3.6 V lithium batteries (ER14505).

Can the ERS be used outdoors?
No. It is an indoor sensor rated IP20.
