ToF People Counters (Time-of-Flight)

ToF people counters measure depth with infrared light instead of recording images, a privacy-friendly choice for stores, offices and fitting areas. The Milesight VS133 and VS135 range includes PoE, LoRaWAN and 4G versions and a high-ceiling model, all ready for VemCount.

Frequently asked questions

What is a time-of-flight sensor?

A time-of-flight (ToF) sensor measures distance by timing how long emitted infrared light takes to reflect back. In a people counter this produces a depth map, so people are counted without capturing images.

How does a time-of-flight people counter work?

Mounted above the entrance, it builds a depth map of the area below and counts people walking in and out, without capturing images. Check the mounting height on each product page; the high-ceiling VS135 version mounts up to 6.5 m.
