Description

The Xovis PA-PC-NTR and PA-PC-NTB staff exclusion name tags are patterned name badges that let Xovis PC2-series people counters recognise employees and remove them from visitor counts. Staff wear the tag like a normal name badge, so footfall, conversion and occupancy figures in stores, malls and showrooms show customers only.

Key features

  • Pattern recognition: the sensor detects the printed pattern on the tag and excludes the wearer from the count.
  • Two patterns: PA-PC-NTR red/white and PA-PC-NTB basalt grey/white, to suit different uniforms.
  • Needs the staff exclusion extension on the sensor, activated with the XC-PAB AI licence.
  • Works at typical store heights: Xovis lists staff exclusion for mounting heights of 2.50–3.50 m (UL models: 2.40–3.25 m).

Setup and software

Vemco activates the staff exclusion extension remotely with the XC-PAB licence; on PC2S, PC2R, PC2SE and PC2RE sensors this needs firmware 5.6 or later. Counts without staff appear in VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial. For Milesight counters use the VA21 (VS125) or VA31 (VS133, VS135) lanyards instead.

Frequently asked questions

How does Xovis staff exclusion work?
The sensor recognises the printed pattern on the name tag and leaves the wearer out of the visitor count. The staff exclusion extension must be licensed on the sensor.

Do I need a licence for the name tags?
Yes. Staff exclusion is part of the XC-PAB AI licence; the tags alone do nothing.

Do the tags work with the PF-L or PC3SE?
No. Xovis lists staff exclusion as not yet available on the PF-L and not available on PC3-Series sensors.

What is the difference between NTR and NTB?
Only the colour: red/white or basalt grey/white.
