The Milesight VS125 Outdoor is an IP67 3D stereo vision people counter for outdoor and semi-outdoor entrances, canopies, high streets, parks and open-air shopping centres. It counts people in and out with two 4 MP sensors and on-device AI, keeps counting in darkness with infrared, and works from −30 to +65 °C. Choose PoE for wired sites or 4G where there is no network.

About the SKUs: SKUs starting with NF are Vemco's codes for Milesight VS-series sensors delivered with Vemco firmware. NF125-O is the Milesight VS125 Outdoor (VS125-O); replace "NF" with "VS" to find the code in the Milesight datasheet.

Milesight lists no other regional 4G version of the VS125 Outdoor. In North and South America use the PoE version, if needed with a UR32L or UR35 4G router in the L04AF or L04AU version (note: these routers are IP30 and need a weatherproof enclosure outdoors). The VS125 has no LoRaWAN version.

Sensor and software: what you get
On the sensor: in/out counting, regions, staff and children detection, local storage and data push over MQTT or HTTP. In software: dashboards, multi-site comparison, conversion and reports. Vemco delivers the VS125 Outdoor with Vemco firmware, ready for VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans). The hardware price does not include a software licence.
Installation and accessories
Mount the sensor centred over the entrance, pointing straight down, between 2.2 and 6 m; for gender and children/adult split stay between 2.2 and 4 m. For PoE use an outdoor-rated cable run under 100 m; for 4G check the signal at the mounting position. The VA21 staff lanyard and VA04 staff badge are specified by Milesight for the VS125 series. After mounting, Vemco sets the counting lines and validates the counts with the remote setup and validation service.
Replacing a counter? The VS125 Outdoor replaces outdoor thermal counters and camera counters in weather housings at the same position, and Vemco migrates your historical data. Ask a technical specialist.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Milesight VS125 Outdoor be installed fully outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP67 and works from −30 to +65 °C, with protection against rain and UV radiation.
What is the difference between the VS125 and the VS125 Outdoor?
The same counting functions and coverage, but the Outdoor version has an IP67 housing (indoor VS125: IP40), a wider temperature range and a black finish. BACnet/IP is listed only for the indoor PoE version.
Can I use the 4G version outside Europe?
The 4G version uses LTE bands for EMEA and Australia/New Zealand. In the Americas use the PoE version with a regional router.
What mounting height does it need?
2.2 to 6 m. Coverage grows with height, from 1.21 × 0.70 m at 2.2 m to 10.44 × 6.02 m at 6 m.
