The VC-2D AI is an age and gender detection sensor for store and mall entrances. It classifies visitors by age group and gender in real time with edge AI on the device, and sends only anonymous statistics. Retailers and mall operators use it next to a people counter to see who actually visits, compare it with sales and campaigns, and plan layouts and staffing around the real audience.

Sensor and software: what you get
On the sensor: age group and gender classification. In software: demographic reports and comparisons with footfall and sales in VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans). The VC-2D AI adds demographics; footfall comes from a people counter.
Installation and accessories
Pair it with a people counter such as the Xovis PC2SE or Milesight VS125. Power it from a POE48-24W-G PoE injector or the TP-Link TL-SG1005P. Vemco can set it up with the remote calibration and validation service.
