Descrição

The Milesight VS135 is a Time-of-Flight (ToF) people counter for indoor store, mall and transit entrances with ceilings up to 3.5 m. It counts people in and out from a 3D depth map instead of camera images, separates adults, children and staff, and saves energy with a radar-based sleep mode when nobody is there. Choose PoE+, LoRaWAN or 4G to match the site.

Buying for several entrances or sites? Shop prices are per unit and exclude VAT. For projects we quote hardware, installation, licences and support together. Request volume pricing. Partners see their own price after signing in.

Key features

  • Second-generation ToF with AI: Milesight states up to 99.8% counting accuracy; distance accuracy ±3.5 cm.
  • No images of people: counting from a depth map, 98° × 80° field of view, 940 nm invisible light, works in darkness.
  • Counting rules: up to 4 bi-directional lines, U-turn filtering, 4 regions with dwell time, group counting, occlusion detection, heat map.
  • Staff and children: staff exclusion with the VA31 lanyard and children/adult differentiation.
  • Radar ESG mode: full-speed counting when people are present, power-saving sleep when the area is empty.
  • Easy installation: 3-axis tilt compensation and automatic installation height detection.
  • Integration: PoE+ version with HTTP(S), MQTT(S), CGI, BACnet/IP, alarm I/O and stitching of up to 8 sensors.

Which VS135 do I need?

About the SKUs: SKUs starting with NF are Vemco's codes for Milesight VS-series sensors delivered with Vemco firmware. NF135 is the Milesight VS135; replace "NF" with "VS" to find the code in the Milesight datasheet (for example NF135-L08EU = VS135-L08EU). For ceilings of 2 to 6.5 m see the VS135 High Ceiling version.

Buying in Europe for LoRaWAN? The stocked LoRaWAN variant is 915M. For EU868, IN865 or RU864 networks, ask us for the 868M version. The 4G version is built for EU bands; in the Americas use the PoE+ version with a UR32L or UR35 router in the L04AF or L04AU version (a PoE+ port, IEEE 802.3at, is needed).

Coverage and mounting

Mount the VS135 on the ceiling at up to 3.5 m (11.5 ft), pointing straight down; detection range 0.5–3.5 m. Detection area per sensor, from the Milesight datasheet:

Mounting height Detection area (length × width)
2.5 m (8.2 ft) 1.84 × 1.34 m
3.5 m (11.5 ft) 4.14 × 3.02 m

Sensor and software: what you get

On the sensor: in/out counting, regions and dwell, staff and children detection, local storage and data push. In software: dashboards, multi-site comparison, conversion with POS data and reports. Vemco delivers the VS135 with Vemco firmware, ready for VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans). The hardware price does not include a software licence.

Installation and accessories

Mount the sensor centred over the entrance. The most common mistakes are mounting off-centre, door closers, signs or displays in the field of view, and mounting above 3.5 m. Use the VB02 adjustable bracket for angled mounting and the VA31 staff lanyard for staff exclusion (VS135 firmware 1.0.5-r2 or later). For LoRaWAN plan a UG65 or UG67 gateway on the same frequency plan. After mounting, Vemco sets the counting line and validates the counts with the remote setup and validation service.

Replacing a counter? The VS135 replaces thermal and older ToF counters at the same mounting position, and Vemco migrates your historical data. Ask a technical specialist.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Milesight VS135 capture images of people?
No. It counts from a Time-of-Flight depth map, so no images of people are captured.

Can the VS135 be used outdoors?
No. Milesight rates the VS135 IP40 for indoor use at −20 to +50 °C. For outdoor entrances choose the VS125 Outdoor (IP67).

Which LoRaWAN frequency do I need?
915M for the Americas, Australia, Korea and most of Asia-Pacific (stocked); 868M for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Russia (on request).

Should I choose PoE+, LoRaWAN or 4G?
PoE+ for sites with a network cable, BACnet/IP and stitching of up to 8 sensors. LoRaWAN for wireless sites with a Milesight gateway. 4G (EU bands) where no network is available.

What mounting height does the VS135 need?
The standard version works up to 3.5 m. For 2 to 6.5 m choose the VS135 High Ceiling version.
