Descrição

The Milesight VS133 is a Time-of-Flight (ToF) people counter for store entrances and passages with ceilings up to 3.5 m. It counts people in and out from a 3D depth map instead of camera images, separates adults, children and staff, and works in any lighting with its own invisible 940 nm light. Choose the PoE+ version for wired sites; LoRaWAN variants are listed for wireless sites.

Key features

  • Second-generation ToF with AI: Milesight states up to 99.8% counting accuracy; distance accuracy ±3.5 cm.
  • No images of people: counting from a depth map, 98° × 80° field of view, works in darkness and changing light.
  • Counting rules: up to 4 bi-directional lines, U-turn filtering, 4 regions with dwell time, group counting, occlusion detection, motion and dwell heat map.
  • Staff and children: staff exclusion with the VA31 lanyard and children/adult differentiation.
  • Building integration (PoE+): HTTP(S), MQTT(S), CGI and BACnet/IP, alarm input/output, stitching of up to 4 sensors.
  • Data safety: stores up to one million records with CSV export and retransmits data after an outage.

Which VS133 do I need?

About the SKUs: SKUs starting with NF are Vemco's codes for Milesight VS-series sensors delivered with Vemco firmware. NF133 is the Milesight VS133; replace "NF" with "VS" to find the model in the Milesight datasheet. In Milesight codes, -868M and -915M name the LoRaWAN hardware band; each band covers several regional frequency plans.

Shop SKU Milesight code Connectivity Frequency plans / regions
NF133-P-White, NF133-P-Black VS133-P Ethernet, IEEE 802.3at PoE+ No radio, works worldwide. Stocked.
NF133-868M-White, NF133-868M-Black VS133 LoRaWAN, 868M band LoRaWAN Class C, 12 V DC EU868 (Europe, Middle East, Africa), IN865 (India), RU864 (Russia). Stocked.
NF133-915M-White, NF133-915M-Black VS133 LoRaWAN, 915M band LoRaWAN Class C, 12 V DC US915 (North America), AU915 (Australia, Latin America), KR920 (Korea), AS923 (Asia-Pacific). Stocked.
– VS133 LoRaWAN, 470M band LoRaWAN CN470 (China). Listed in the Milesight datasheet; on request only.

Please note: Milesight's current VS13x product page states that the VS133 is not available in LoRaWAN versions and lists it as VS133-P (PoE+). Before ordering a VS133 LoRaWAN variant, ask us to confirm availability; the VS135 LoRaWAN is the current alternative.

Coverage and mounting

Mount the VS133 on the ceiling at up to 3.5 m (11.5 ft), pointing straight down; detection range 0.5–3.5 m. Detection area per sensor, from the Milesight datasheet:

Mounting height Detection area (length × width)
2.5 m (8.2 ft) 1.84 × 1.34 m
3.5 m (11.5 ft) 4.14 × 3.02 m

For ceilings above 3.5 m choose the VS135 High Ceiling version (up to 6.5 m) or the VS125 (up to 6 m).

Sensor and software: what you get

On the sensor: in/out counting, regions and dwell, staff and children detection, local storage and data push. In software: dashboards, multi-site comparison, conversion with POS data and reports. Vemco delivers the VS133 with Vemco firmware, ready for VemCount, which comes with a 60-day free trial (see software plans). The hardware price does not include a software licence.

Installation and accessories

Mount the sensor centred over the entrance. The most common mistakes are mounting above 3.5 m, mounting off-centre so part of the doorway falls outside the view, and door closers, signs or displays in the field of view. Keep PoE cable runs under 100 m; for LoRaWAN check gateway coverage first with a UG65 or UG67 gateway. Exclude staff with the VA31 staff lanyard (VS133 firmware 1.0.2 or later). After mounting, Vemco sets the counting line and validates the counts with the remote setup and validation service.

Replacing a counter? The VS133 replaces thermal and older ToF counters at standard store entrances, and Vemco migrates your historical data. Ask a technical specialist.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Milesight VS133 capture images?
No. It counts from a Time-of-Flight depth map, so no images of people are captured.

What is the difference between the VS133 and VS135?
Both are indoor ToF counters with the same 98° × 80° view up to 3.5 m. The VS135 adds 4G and Wi-Fi HaLow options, a radar energy-saving mode, stitching of up to 8 PoE sensors and a High Ceiling version up to 6.5 m.

Which LoRaWAN frequency do I need for the VS133?
868M for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Russia; 915M for the Americas, Australia, Korea and most of Asia-Pacific. Check local regulations and your gateway's frequency plan.

How is the VS133 PoE version powered?
By an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ switch or injector (max 23.8 W). A standard 802.3af port is not enough.

How do I stop staff being counted?
Staff wear the Milesight VA31 lanyard and are excluded from the visitor count.
